I am Rayyan Ketekar, a freshman for the year 2021-2022 at Mission San Jose High School, Fremont, California in the United States of America. I have created Skill Build Inc., a non-profit organization to connect with the many students around the globe and enable them to excel in STEM learning.
“Let’s Build Many Skills” is the key mission of Skill Build Inc.
As for me, being very passionate about robotics, I have participated in the FIRST Lego League (FLL) for 4 years winning Mechanical Design, Robot Performance and Championship Awards at qualifying tournaments. My team has qualified for the Regional competition every consecutive year and won the "Core Values Inspire Award" in 2019.
After four successful years in FLL, I participated as a Hardware/Outreach Lead in the FIRST TECH CHALLENGE(FTC) for the Ultimate Goal 2020-21 season. My team won the Robot Design award and Connect awards for outreach at multiple qualifiers. As a part of outreach, I mentored a rookie FLL team of five 4th graders, High Tech Autobots Team #31544 and they ranked 6th out of 18 teams in a qualifier event. Also, I coached at a CAD Winter Camp to teach students how engineers use Computer Aided design to create working models of what they want to construct; this software is very useful for FTC teams who want to plan out the design of their robot and make 3D parts.
Outside of robotics, I like to play Cricket, and training in Taekwondo to acquire my first degree black belt.
